Lincoln Alley Flats Restoration
Renovation of the service alley between Barrymores (restaurant/ bar) and the renovated Lincoln Flats residential building in downtown Lincoln, NE. The project program: convert the service alley into a pocket urban plaza that serves as the pedestrian way for several businesses that only front the alley. Design considerations include: safety, visual interest, existing utilities and service vaults, storm drainage, lighting, material durability and many more in an effort to create a pedestrian friendly, urban plaza that activates the adjacent businesses, encourages outdoor activity/ dining all while periodically hosting service vehicles that still require alley access.
Testimonial
As a developer, owner, property manager and contractor I have had the pleasure to work with Gill on many projects over the years and in many different capacities. His creativity in overcoming the toughest design challenges is testament to his professionalism and work ethic. Gill not only brings a great design eye to every project but is also keenly aware of costs and incorporating that into his design without hindering the overall aesthetics. He is also a great listener and communicator taking into account the many stakeholders in every project which I can attest, at times, is no easy task. I would not hesitate to recommend Peace Studio Architects for your next project. –Dana Schmidt- Concorde Management & Development
