LEED Platinum – Color Court
Built in 1895, the Color Court Building is the oldest remaining warehouse building in Lincoln’s Haymarket District. The 22,000 sf, 4 level building had undergone countless interior remodels and renovations since the original paint sales business closed in the 60’s. The project included exterior restoration with windows, roof, masonry repair and the addition of fire stairs. Interior renovations were extensive and involved a complete gut and new elevator and plumbing core, insulation of the exterior envelope focused on reveling and expressing the previously covered structural elements. Mechanical and Electrical upgrades created a modern infrastructure within the shell of the historic building. Many conservation and sustainable design strategies resulted in a LEED Platinum certification, one of the first in the State of Nebraska.
Additional projects at the Color Court building by Peace include:
KVC Offices, Tenant Finish- First Floor Color Court
Engineering Technologies, Inc. (ETI) Offices- Second Floor Color Court
